Copyright Policy

KnowLaw is committed to upholding and protecting the intellectual property rights of authors, contributors, and content creators. The following copyright policy outlines our guidelines and procedures regarding the submission, publication, and use of copyrighted materials on our platform:

  • Originality of Manuscripts: KnowLaw exclusively considers original manuscripts that have not been previously submitted for publication or published elsewhere in any form. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not infringe on the rights of others and do not contain any unlawful statements.
  • Copyright Ownership: The copyright for published manuscripts remains with KnowLaw.in. Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant KnowLaw.in the exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display their work in print and electronic formats.
  • Multi-authored Articles: For multi-authored articles, the lead/corresponding author must secure written permission from all co-authors to enter into an agreement and assign copyright. All co-authors must thoroughly read and agree to our policies and guidelines.
  • Publication Rights: KnowLaw retains the sole right to publish the manuscript on its platform or any other medium, with editorial amendments as necessary for publication. Additionally, any manuscripts authored during the internship period at KnowLaw shall be the intellectual property of KnowLaw exclusively, with the publisher having the right to use the material for the duration of the work’s existence. The publisher may assign its rights under this agreement.
  • Plagiarism Policy: While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that no plagiarized content is published, in the event that an author is found to have submitted work that is not their own original creation but instead involves plagiarism or violation of third-party rights, the author bears sole liability for any disputes arising from such issues, and KnowLaw including the Publisher and the Editorial Board is absolved of any responsibility in this regard.

By submitting their work to KnowLaw, authors agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this copyright policy. KnowLaw reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
